The Global Architecture & Engineering Council (GAEC) has officially approved the use of TimberCrete-X—popularly known as "liquid wood"—for primary structural use in buildings over 40 stories high.

This decision marks the first time a composite bio-material has been cleared for heavy load-bearing skyscraper construction. Developed over seven years by researchers at the Zurich Institute of Material Science, the substance combines organic wood byproducts with a proprietary liquid polymer binding agent.
